The Eight Eighties is a group of men creating jobs in America by bringing additional work to manufacturing businesses that have a mission to create a “Made in America” label. They’re also helping to minister to the nation’s wounded warriors returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. They created the C-Shirt in Kinston, North Carolina. The garments are cut and sewn in Vanceboro, NC, and embellished at the Lions Industries for the Blind in Kinston. Mr. Hunneke has a long history in the textile business and has linked different businesses to create an opportunity that is bringing business to North Carolina. The Eight-80s don’t own any of the equipment used to produce the C-Shirt. The group exists solely to bring additional work to the businesses that do the manufacturing, thus helping to create jobs and a product that can proudly carry a “Made in America” label.
